Introducing Hebe!
This week we're handing over the Journal to Hebe. Hebe joins us for the Summer to learn all about what we get up to, you'll be seeing a lot more of her over the next couple of months! Over the next month or so Hebe will also be profiling all of the Nourish team members so that you can put some names to faces!
Over to Hebe!
Hello Nourish community! My name is Hebe and I am delighted to be spending the Summer in the beautiful Surrey Hills to intern with Nourish - and will be sharing my journey with you along the way!
To tell you a little bit about me, I’m 26 years old and am currently studying for a BSc in Nutrition in Liverpool with one more year to go, meaning that by next Summer I will officially be able to become a Registered Associate Nutritionist! I didn’t have much of a science background before my degree but am now the very proud owner of a lab coat, and have found it fascinating to learn all about the human body (which is just incredible!), as well as topics like food and health politics, eating behaviour and appetite, sustainability in the food industry and lots more.
I’m excited to have an opportunity at Nourish to put some of what I’ve learnt into practice and learn even more from the brilliant team here!
At the moment I’m particularly interested in women’s health and nutrition, and I’m passionate about finding ways to make delicious, nourishing food inclusive, fun and accessible to everyone.
Prior to my degree, I spent 5 years working as a hairdresser and a few more working within graphic design and communication, so I really enjoy being creative and making things beautiful! So, over the Summer, as well as working behind the scenes in the Nourish production kitchen, I will also be spending some time with Kate and the team to help with all things marketing – so be sure to follow us on Instagram@nourish.growcookenjoy so you don’t miss any of our updates.
