Excellent Smoothie for skin, hair, nails. Make at any time of the day as a healthy snack. Packed full of nutrients. This is certainly a Nourishing smoothie. The lime juice and cinnamon are also great as a digestive aid.

1 cup pumpkin seeds
¼ cup of soaked almonds (could replace with cashews or more pumpkin seeds)
½ Tbsp linseed (brown or golden)
2 large peeled very ripe banana (I often use ones I have frozen)
1 medium avocado (flesh only)
Squeeze lime juice
½ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
4 ½ -5 cups water (ideally filtered)
2-3 large pitted medjool dates (optional)

Place all the ingredients in the blender and blend on high until smooth. Add a few pieces of ice for a cooler drink it if desired, while blending.

Serve immediately, or keep in the fridge

Notes –

  • The water amount can be decreased to 4 cups if you prefer it thicker, or increased to 5 cups to make it thinner.
  • I often make this with bananas and then for a sweeter version add in the medjool dates and sometimes a Tbsp cacao powder for a chocolate version. Delish!
